Statuimus et ordinamus quod tempore pasionis domini nostri Yesu Christi die iovis sancti ab hora qua campanis sonum prohibetur, postquam se in domo incluserint usque ad diem sabati sancti, quibus sonum impartitur eisdem, non liceat alicui Hebreo in terra et burgo Mondulphi comoranti cuiuscumque conditionis existat ire per terram et burgum nec stare ad valvas et ostia eorum domo rum nec ad fenestras eorumdem; in quibus domibus liceat dictis Hebreis tenere fenestras apertas dictarum domorum, domodo Hebrei non stent nec se mostrent ad dictas fenestras. Since the Holy Church has permitted and permits in its canons trade between Christians and Jews for reasons of reasonableness and convenience, it is nevertheless necessary to limit their moments, so that unforeseen inconveniences do not arise between them. Therefore we establish and order that in the time of the passion of our lord Jesus Christ on Holy Thursday, from the hour when the ringing of the bells is prohibited, after they are closed in the house, until Holy Saturday when the bells are allowed to ring , it is not lawful for a Jew of any condition, residing in the land and village of Mondolfo, to go to the land and village or to stay near the shutters and doors of their houses or at their windows. In these houses it is permissible for the said Jews to keep the windows open, in such a way, however, that they do not stay there and do not show themselves to the aforementioned windows. And if any of them contravenes, he incurs a penalty of ten pounds of denarii, to be applied to the municipality of the land of Mondolfo for each and every time.
